STAR **

When we visited Amber's pedia last Saturday, her pedia was happy that Amber looks tall and looks bigger. She's 10 kilos now and her pedia heard her say "opo" and as a reward, she gave Amber a yellow star sticker and put it on her fist. She was so amazed she said "wow!" Then last Monday, she was looking on her fist and she was saying "sta.. sta.." which means STAR. So I had to look for star stickers for her. Haha. I have lots of stickers now and will give one to her everytime she does good things. :)

New words

Jerwin taught Amber how to say "excuse me" and she utters it the cutest way. Haha. I wish I had recorded the words. Then I taught her today to say "I'm sorry" and she said it sounding like excuse me. Haha. Cute cute kid.

Improvements

She can now also point the cartoon character listed on her ABC chart, including Handy Manny, Sponge bob, Minnie Mouse, Dora, Jollibee, Flower, Ice cream, Apple, Bird, Cat.

Birght kid! I am so proud of her.

Getting Heavier

Amber is getting heavier and heavier, I am so happy. She eats lots of table foods now. We feed her chicken, rice, oatmeal, banana, biscuits and other food. Unlike before, she became so "matakaw" with the food which is a good sign. I can't wait to see her new weight.

Sick Again but much better now

She's still under medication until tomorrow. Last Friday, we were scared because the pedia we went to said that it was not measles, but she was suspecting that it was a DENGUE. It's a very dangerous infection and I was so scared to death. Good thing she was cleared and the doctor gave her LOTS of medication to take and she said that Amber was underweight so we changed her vitamins and we will start that tomorrow.

Just Married

I am just happy I am now married. :)

Goal #4:Wedding - Simple but Fun

It was a very simple wedding, and we were only 8 in the church to celebrate our wedding. It was fun because we are able to laugh throughout the ceremony and it was a light day for everyone. I have yet to post photos but I will when I get the chance.

Next goal: To have a simple yet fun Christmas with family.

2 more days..

And it's our wedding. I haven't reserve seats for the seats because I was not able to come to work early tonight. I will make reservations tomorrow and I will drop by here at work.

For some reason, we are not excited. Haha. Is that normal? Oh well. Maybe I will be nervous when the day is here.

Sick Again

Amber's sick again. She has rashes on her body but then we are not yet sure if this rashes are measles or just plain rashes. We have to visit a pedia tomorrow after work. I hope it's not measles. She's been crying so much and won't drink her milk. Poor girl. I hope she gets well sooner.

Growing up so fast

Amber can now walk on her own, play on her own inside our room, has 6 teeth and seems to have been building her own world. That is why I really wanted to be there when things change and I want to witness how she transform to a little school girl. Time flies so fast and I don't have control over it.

I remember her being a small cute newborn baby and cries when she wanted to be fed and now, when you ask her she'll say "ummm.." which means yes to her. She can utter the word "opo" when she feels like it and can do a lot of stuff! She's shy when people are staring and smiling at her and she'll cover her face and put her face on my lap when she's hiding. A lot of things are changing, and one thing's for sure, I want to be there all the time for her.

Wow!

Amber can now walk on her own. She kept on walking around the house this morning. Sadly, she bumped into the wood in the garage, good thing she didn't had any bruise or anything.

We went to her pedia last Saturday and she weigh 8.5 kgs and she doesn't have cough! Good Lord, she's cleared! I am so happy. We also bought her a pink Disney princess shoes.

Poor Amber

Amber's got colds and cough too. She got the colds from Jerwin and she got the cough from me. We'll have to bring her to her pedia this Saturday and I am scared her pedia will advise her for xray. Oh God, I hope not.

Amber's Height

We noticed that Amber become taller. She can now point over to Dora's picture and can touch the picture too. When we posted an alphabet chart on our wall, she can't point over to letters A to E, but this morning, she can touch letter D. Woohoo!! She's taller now and that's a good sign. My brother and Jerwin also said Amber is heavier now. She will have her monthly check up this coming Saturday and we hope to see more weight on her. The last time we weight to her doctor, she was 8.1 kgs. I hope to see 9! :)

Goal #3: Jerwin's Birthday

We will have to split the celebration for Jerwin's birthday and our wedding day. We originally plan to get married on his birthday, November 6 but due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to move the wedding date. We agreed to set our wedding date on November 18, it will be our 3 years and 2 months together.

Going back to Jerwin's birthday. I plan to surprise and maybe have dinner somewhere, still thinking where. It has to be near as we will be bringing Amber with us. Jerwin likes to eat at Flavors of China, and I am considering that restaurant. I will try to look for some good deals online but it has to be near our place. Or, maybe eat at Gerry's Grill, we also like eating there plus it's affordable. I am also thinking of what gift to buy for him. I want something memorable for him. Maybe I can buy him a new phone, he wanted to have a new phone where he can listen to Praise and Worship songs and practice at home. Yeah, maybe that's what I will buy for him. 

Prayer for the day

Dear God,
Please help me to become humble and not look into other people's wrongdoing. Instead, give me a clean heart, Lord God. Please keep me away from all the temptation and from all earthly attitude.

Forgive me Lord for all the mistakes I've done yesterday and please cleanse my heart today.
Thank you Lord for all the wonderful blessing today! For the financial blessing today Lord, for the money given by Jerwin's brother. With that we were able to buy milk and diaper for Amber. Thank you for the SSS loan, it was approved today. It will be used for our wedding Lord, and this wedding Lord is for you and for your goodness and greatness Lord.

My heart is filled with joy right now Lord, as you never failed to remind me that YOU aer indeed here and is working with our lives. My heart is overwhelmed with all the blessings that are always right on time. This and all of what happened today, we thank you, in the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Wedding Invite Part 2

I just create a simple but cute wedding invite but this is just for memories' sake. LOL. I will show it to Jerwin later. Haha. Take a look.

Wedding Invite

I am torn whether to create a wedding invites or not. Jerwin doesn't want to give invites because we are aiming for a simple wedding with selected guests and he said that it would not be necessary to create a wedding invite. But I am itching to make one even just for memories' sake :) I am looking for a cute weeding invite and I was thinking of Precious Moments. I can't look for a nice precious moments picture online.

We agreed to move the weeding date to November 20, if our budget will not be enough for November 6 date. We are expecting funds on the 15th of November also and we will use that to add to the expenses.

Learning parts of the body

I read in GT about teaching a child her body parts. I started doing that today with Amber. The first body part we thought her was her nose. We showed her how to point where her nose is and she immitates us and we ask her where her nose is, then she points at it. Yeay!!

My sister also gave Amber a pink bedroom slippers. The size is big for her but she likes it so much and when we tried it on her, she didn't remove it and started to walk all aroudn the house and even wore it when she and Jerwin walked me to work.

Intelligent!

We had posted an alphabet chart in our bedroom wall a few months back and we posted stickers of cartoon character or figures that she knows well. When you ask her, where is Mickey Mouse, Dora or Jollibee, she will point the picture of that figure. Intelligent kid, huh? As of yesterday, here are the people that Amber knows:

We are still looking for stickers we can put on the chart so it will be easy for Amber to recognize people and things. Also, I made her an ID and paste her picture on it and her name because she always point and get her cousin's ID and wear it. Haha. So I decided to create one for her. I made it out of my casino card which I am not using anyway. Punch a hole and put a red ribbon. I will give it to her tomorrow.

Amber's birthday

Last Shot

We went to the Center yesterday morning for Amber's last MMR shot. We went there around 8am and got home around 10:30am. At first, she was eagerly walking outside the Center but when we went inside after she was weighed, she began crying when she heard a baby cried while her ears were pierced. Then she cried more when she was injected. Poor baby. She was crying so loud and embraced me tight. Of course it was painful for babies like her. Good thing this is the last shot for her.

Also, her weight is  currently at 8.4 kgs. I have to give her heraclene starting today so she'll gain more weight.

Amber Kulit

When Amber started drinking Lactum, she began to be very hyper and active. She always wants to walk around the house, screams when she sees her cousins Yna and Hannah. Cute little girl. She now knows how to smile when you point a camera on her, she also knows how to embrace someone, when you say to her "embrace", when you say "show your teeth", "where's your pacifier?", "where's your slippers?", "where's the moon?". What an adorable child. We played picture taking yesterday while watching Ms. Universe 2011 and the camera caught her smiling cutely! I will post it here tomorrow, I will also be uploading birthday photos.

Good Job Amber!

Amber is beginning to walk on her own. Good job! Though sometimes she still out balance herself, she can walk 10 steps or more without someone holding her! Woohoo! She is also doing great with Lactum. We switched her milk from Nido Jr to Lactum but then Jerwin noticed that she became hyper. Haha. Even the pedia said that, but that's ok. The poop is ok, she's gaining weight, and that's a good sign. Next stop: choose a different vitamins for her. We'll do that next week. :*)

Goal #2: 3rd Anniversary

I can't think of anything good to do on September 18. That falls on a Sunday though. Our regular routine is, we attend Sunday service at 4:30 PM, and we're home at around 8:00 PM. I am not sure if dining out after church is good but that is what I am thinking of doing.

Goal #1: Amber's Birthday - Success!

My first goal was successful! Yeay! We celebrated Amber's First birthday in a simple yet very fun way. Though my little girl slept early because she was awake the whole afternoon, everything went well.

We started preparing the food around noon. I cooked Spaghetti and my SIL helped in frying the Fried Chicken, Lumpia and hotdog. My brother brought 3 liters of ice cream, the cake we ordered from Goldilocks was so beautiful, Amber was so happy seeing it. My brother was the one who arrived first at around 3pm and the rest followed. I was raining and some of the family members were not able to make it because of the heavy rain, but things went well still.

I also slept early because I was so tired as I was awake the whole day and I came from work that morning. We were not able to bring Amber to the pool because it was raining but we are still planning to bring her maybe this weekend.

The good thing about inviting family members is that you don't have to entertain all of them because they are your family, and they are comfortable in the house and the crowd. I even slept around 7pm, and I don't have to wake up when one family member leaves the house.

Thank God everything went well. We'll move to goal #2. By the way, we attended Bible Study this morning and I asked our Pastor to pray for Amber's fast recovery. She still has cough and is on antibitoic until Sunday. We also started nebulizing her yesterday. And Jerwin also asked our Pastor what are the papers needed to get a marriage license. I was surprised that he was thinking about it. I guess he's ready? I am not sure.

Jerwin will have basketball tournament this afternoon and I am thinking of coming. Anyway, my sister is at home and she can attend to Amber once in a while.

Next goal: Celebrate our 3rd year together. Haven't thought of any ideas but I'll think of something nice to do that day.

Amber's 1st Birthday

It was a simple and somehow relax birthday celebration for Amber yesterday. We invited our family and relatives and some neighbors. We celebrated it in the afternoon, we sang "happy birthday" to Amber. It was raining yesterday and we were not able to bring Amber to the pool but all in all, she seemed to enjoy the day and she was tired, she slept around 5pm and I was so tired too because I didn't sleep all day to prepare the food.

I'll post the photos tomorrow after I transfer them to my laptop. Thank God! It's done and we can rest now. :) ♥

Sick Amber

Monday and she was diagnosed with bronchitis and she will be on antibiotics for 7 days. Poor Amber, she is on medication on her birthday week. But so far, fever is gone and her breathing is somehow ok now. Pedia said that she have to be ok by Thursday or else, she need attend another check up. Poor baby. Pedia also said that if this bronchitis will occur again next month, she needs to have xray and will have further examinations. I got scared by hearing that. We are praying so hard, every night so she'll feel better soon. And we claim for her fast recovery.

Another Goal to Achieve

When we attended our Sunday service yesterday, our Pastor asked us if we have mastered at least 1 verse in the bible and had been following and doing it in our lives. I thought about one bible verse but I don't know the verse number. It was to "always pray without ceasing". I have to look it up in my bible and put it here. That's the verse that I want to master, to pray always and without ceasing. Though sometimes, I forgot to pray before bedtime and when I wake up, I still pray when I am on my way to work, when I'm in the bathroom, when I am thinking of a lot of things and others.

Another goal to achieve is to post bible verses at least once a day here in my blog and to master and memorize them by heart. I will start this tomorrow.

The hyper kid

Amber loves to walk around the house and outside. She knows where her slippers are placed and she always point her finger there when she wants to go outside and when you asked her, "Where's your slippers?". Funny baby.

This morning, Jerwin noticed that she was so wet and her diaper leaked! She was bathing on her own weewee! But she's a good girl, she didn't cry and we changed her clothes right away. While I was changing her nappy, I asked her, "Buti hindi ka umiyak?" then she started a fake cry. Sweet girl.

I noticed that she always say the word "daddy" and she is very talktative. We can't understand her but I know she's always making kwento with everything that she sees. She also saw Dora the Explorer from the Minnie and Mickey mouse stickers we bought yesterday and she always point Dora's picture. We paste Dora's picture on the alphabet chart we posted in our wall and paste it on letter D. So everytime we asked her, "where's Dora?" She'll point to where Dora is. Intelligent kid.

Goal #1: Celebrate Amber's 1st Birthday

Amber's turning 1 this September 1. Our original plan was to invite friends, coworker, and family. When I was doing the lists of guests, I came to a total of almost 80! I freaked out! What we want is to celebrate Amber's birthday hassle-free. So we have decided to have a simple celebration for her. We will bring her to a pool where she can enjoy swimming, she always love the water. This will be the 2nd time she will be in a pool on her 2-piece bathing suit. We will stay there for 1-2 hours max and it will only be me, Jerwin and Amber.

After lunch, we will prepare the food for the kids who will be coming. We will only invite family members, sisters of Jerwin, my brothers and sister and all of Amber's cousins. We will prepare Spaghetti (I will cook this!), hotdog on stick with marshmallows, ice cream, fried chicken, bread, juice and lumpia. The cake will be given by Amber's ninong Rod and Ninang Cheryl.

I am still thinking of buying "pabitin" for the kids and giving candies to them. I made a banner with minnie mouse bow on it. I will post a picture of it after Amber's birthday. I am also going to buy mickey mouse balloons. Amber loves Mickey Mouse so much!

I actually created an invitation for her birthday and I have a draft here on my computer. This is how it looks like. I just had to change the font to Walt Disney.

We will buy the balloons this weekend and will print the banner as well. If anything will be added, i'll update this.
