Giving Tithes

I just want to share with you our road to becoming a faithful giver of tithes to our church.

Me and my husband had been Born Again since 2010 and to be honest, we do not follow what is written in the Bible that we are to give 10% of what we have such as earnings and salaries. Me and my husband talked about giving 10% of our salaries to our church. I have to be honest that it was hard for us as this will be the first time that we will do it in 3 years.

This happened last week and I earned 4,800 for 2 weeks and my husband earned 4,200. So that means that it's a total of 9,000 and we are to give 900 of it to church. If you think of it, 900 can buy a can of milk for our daughter, groceries and pay our water bill or electricity.I was tempted to reduce the amount but with God's help, we survived the whole week waiting for Sunday service to arrive and then we gave our tithes.

I talked to my husband about it and he said that he was also feeling the same way. He thought the amount was too high but then he thought it will be for God. We are so proud of this achievement. It felt good when we are able to provide and give back to God all the blessing we received and we believe that there will be more blessings to come.

The Dress is Here!

Hey everybody!

I just want to share with you the photos of the dresses I won on Instagram (see my previous post about it) and I am so happy with the dresses that arrived today.

My daughter was so happy to see the pink tutu. It was her dream to have one. Haha. And the purple clips you see on her hair was a freebie from the seller as well. Imagine, free na yung damit, may freebie pa ulit? Yay!

When I tried the dresses on to my daughter, I was a bit sad kasi hindi kasya ang purple dress. It was small for her and I was sad because the dress is really nice, elegant ang dating talaga. However, me and my daughter decided to just give it to her cousin Agnes who's more than a year old because I think this will fit her. Christmas gift nalang namen sa kanya. :)

I am still in awe for winning this super nice dresses. I really recommend their dresses because of good quality. You can follow her IG account, @pinkkishboutique so you can check out other nice dresses and jegging sets for you toddlers.

Thank you @pinkkishboutique! May pamasko na ang daughter ko. Off to see some shoes naman for Christmas! :)

First Time to Win on Instagram!

I just want to share with you the good news I received last night while I was working my ass off.

As you all know or probably not, I am so into Instagram nowadays. I buy clothes here for me and daughter. There's this one online store where I bought my daughter's tutu dress and they had a "Race to 2k followers" contest on Instagram. I think I was on the first 50 people who reposted the photo and I was actually not hoping to win on it.

Last night, I saw a photo posted by the seller that they already reached 2k followers and they will be selecting the lucky winners. There will be two winners and prizes are the cutest and prettiest dresses she is selling. One gets to have 50% on the dress and the one gets 2 dresses of their choice and the winner would just need to shoulder the shipping fee. Guess what I got?

I was so kilig when I received a vibe message from the seller. How sweet of her to message me and told me to check out her video and that I won! Woohoo! Until now, I can't help but be excited because I get to choose any 2 dresses I want for Amber. And since I won, the seller allowed me to choose even the most expensive dress on her shop! Yay! So I did. I was a bit hesitant at first but then gave up in the end. Haha. I hope to get the dresses this weekend.

I am so happy because Amber will have her Christmas and New Year dress all free from this shop! I am so thrilled with this because this is the first ever contest I joined that I actually won! Hahaha. Thank you Pinkkishboutique!

Follow her on Instagram and I'm sure you will love the dresses she's selling! Super gaganda talaga!

A must for WAHM

I just read a blog post about the things she wanted to change in her life now that she's a WAHM and I realized that what she wrote on her blog was the exact same sentiments I have when I became a WAHM this year. So I want to share with you my thoughts about this ever rewarding job (yes, I consider this a job!).

When I started working from home last March, I only had my laptop and my internet with me. I work in our bedroom after lunch, after all chores are done including washing the clothes, cooking and feeding my 3-year old daughter. I didn't realized that I should have at least a desk or a little working space where I can work decently. The blog post I read gave me an idea. Yay!

I have a condition called dextroscoliosis and a lot of times, my back hurts especially when I am working long hours on the computer. And my work space right now is our bed, literally our bed. I have bed table where I put my laptop and I sometimes work there and most of the time I put my laptop on our bed, on top of a pillow. This must end and be changed.

So I browsed the net and scouted for possible small work space I can find. I actually just need a decent desk and chair. And these photos made me smile and made me inspired to pursue my goal to create my own little work space in our bedroom.(Photos are not mine)

Aside from this plan of having a decent desk and chair, I am also planning to buy a netbook. I currently own a big laptop and the screen has black inks on it already and it distracts me whenever I use it. I really should save up for this major change in my WAHM career. I guess I have to start scouting for desks and chairs when I go to the mall and save up for it. Awww! I am getting excited. I wish I have 13th month pay too, just like the regular employees, but then I am happy and contented with my current work because I love what I'm doing.

By the way, I am also not decided on what brand of netbook I should buy but definitely not too expensive as I don't need to install major applications on it. I just need a VLC player, MS Word and MS Excel for my work, really basic so I don't need a very techie-pricey netbook. I should create a savings jar for this whole project. Awww! Why do we have less money every time we have things that we need to buy? I always wonder about that.

I will update everyone when I have saved and purchased one item at a time. The netbook will definitely the last thing to buy. My target for that is next year.

Clear Anti Hair Fall Shampoo

I was in search for the best anti hairfall shampoo in the market. In my previous blog post, I was having hairfall so bad that I was stressed and worried I might lose my hair.

Last week, I went to the grocery and looked for the best hairfall shampoo. I didn't know Clear has an anti hairfall shampoo, so I decided to buy a small bottle to try and see if it's effective. Honestly, the 2nd day I used this shampoo, it reduced my hairfall! I was so happy with the result of this shampoo. There are still hairfall whenever I wash my hair but it was not as many as it did before. I finally found what's effective for me. Happy me!

The Lost Wedding Ring

I lost my wedding ring yesterday while I was having a shower. Is that a bad luck? I am not sure.

I was so scared and worried because I couldn't find it and I am scared that my husband will get mad at me for losing it. When I told him about it last night when he called me up, I told him it slipped off my finger while taking a shower. He was so understanding and told me that it was an accident. I told him that we should get another wedding ring on our 2nd year anniversary this November 11. This will the the 3rd time that we will be buying our wedding ring.

The first time we bought was when we got married and unfortunately the ring's color faded so we decided to buy another one. The one on the photo was the second purchase. I was so sad I lost it. It's the first time I lost a ring. I guess it's really time to replace it.

Amber's New Clothes

Since I am into online shopping these days, I bought dresses for my daughter from Pompom Closet on Facebook. They were so affordable and the dresses are so cute and stylish!

I bought them for a very reasonable and affordable price! I love them on my daughter. My daughter also loves them and doesn't want to remove them. Haha.

Follow Pompom Closet on Facebook if you are looking for adorable clothes for your daughters. In fact, they just uploaded new set of clothes and I will buy one!

Terno Dress!

I love shopping on Instagram! There are so many nice sellers and they really sell the best and nicest clothes ever!

I noticed on Instagram that there is this famous terno dresses for mom and daughter. So I tried buying one pair from @jazellescastle and it arrived last Friday. Oh how I love the dress and my daughter loves it too!

Aren't they pretty?! I had to cut mine shorter to match the length on my daughter's dress. We were supposed to used this today for Sunday church however my dress was still wet this morning so I decided to let my daughter use it and we'll just use it together next time.

I am thinking whether to get the terno shoes, but my daughter's shoe size is just 24 and it's hard to find that shoe size! Hahaha.

Hairfall Emergency

I have an alarming problem. I have tons of falling hair and it's stressing me out. I am currently using Dove Shampoo -- the pink one, and I am not sure if this has something to do with my shampoo or with the stress I am experiencing right now.

I tried searching for remedies on this and so far, I was advised to use aloe vera, gugo shampoo, or anti hairfall shampoo. Now I am in search for the best anti hirfall shampoo. So to all my dear readers, if you know any effective remedy for this, please please please inform me and comment here. I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Another set of Preloved Clothes!

I hoarded so many clothes last payday and I was so happy I already cleaned my closet to give space to my adopted clothes. This time, I bought from a new seller, super nice and who was a schoolmate in high school.

See the photos above? I bought so many tops and  leggings from @posh_vanity on Instagram. If you want to ask how much I spend on these cute tops, I bought them for P480.00 all in! Isn't that a really good buy? Oh yeah!

These tops were bought from @dashindivashop, as always, tops are so great and cute! I bought these 2 for P220.

The white Casio watch was also from @posh_vanity and it cost P75. And do you know what I love about sellers who are so kind? They give freebies! Yes, they do. The vintage rings on the photos are freebies! I won the first buyer. Haha. I also got another top as a freebie but I haven't claimed it yet.

I so love preloved stuff! :)

Pre-loved Clothing and Accessories

I am beginning to get addicted to pre-loved clothes and accessories! They may not be brand new, they were worn once or twice, some were even never worn and sell it for a cheaper and affordable price!

For a "kuripot" mom like me, I would not spend 500 pesos on clothes because I find it so expensive. Yes, that's true. So when I learned about these pre-loved apparel sellers, I tried them and I'm getting addicted to them.

I've got my "suki" now. If you have Instagram, check out @posh_vanity and @dashindivashop because that's where I buy all the time. I personally know them so I know that they are legit sellers and the clothes they are selling are almost brand new and in good condition.

This is my first attempt to buy preloved on Instagram. I bought this from @muralangpramis at Instagram. White shirt was for 30 pesos, gray top is 30 pesos and the the pink skirt is for 60 pesos. These 3 only cost me 120 pesos and an additional 60 pesos for the shipping fee.

This is my second attempt. I bought this also on Instagram from @thefifties_ph. Both apparel cost 50 pesos and shipping fee of 90 pesos.

The yellow banana top I wore on this photo was bought from one of my friend's shop @dashindivashop for only 50 pesos! Does the shorts look familiar? That's the 50 pesos short I ordered above.

I bought more preloved clothes but haven't had a chance to take a photo of those but surely, I love them all. I love I can have fashionable clothes and get them for a lower and cheaper price!

So I therefore conclude that it's not about the brand of clothes you buy but it's about the way you handle yourself when you buy affordable yet good clothes. I get to save for buying these affordable clothes plus I occasionally get freebies! This is what I call life. Buying nice clothes at a very affordable price.

I will be posting the next preloved clothes I will buy so I can show you how this thing is so addicting! :)

Generic Diapers

Do you love diaper shopping? Me, I super love diaper shopping! But branded diaper nowadays are so pricey and I sometimes feel that it is not "practical" to buy them when your kid is just going to pee or poop on it.

Don't get me wrong, there are branded diapers that I super love. That includes Drypers, Huggies and Sweet Baby. But even when my daughter was newborn, I am already a fan of generic diapers. And for me, brand does not matter. If you have tried Petpet diapers and other good diapers, you'll know what I mean.

So today, I accompanied my sister in law to buy generic diapers along CAA Road. I was so happy and excited because I wanted to buy and try some new generic diapers for my daughter. We came to this small diaper store with lots of diapers and there I saw the generic diaper I bought in BF Paranaque! I was so happy because I finally found a near diaper store! So I bought two different types of generic diaper for my daughter to try.

I am not sure with the name of this diaper but this is cottony and I like the design. This is the regular plastic tape. This costs P6.50 per diaper. Size is XL.

This is called Bosomi diapers. The ones on the photo has magic tapes and cottony as well. They also come in pull ups. This is also XL in size and costs P7.50 per diaper.

I love super colorful and pretty diapers! I have yet to try these two but I will tomorrow. I already tried the Bosomi pull up diapers and I like it. I am not sure though where you can buy this and if this is available to every diaper store in your location. But if you want to try these diapers, I suggest that you buy 2-3 pieces first so check if your babies will not have rashes.

Kikay Amber

I was having my nails done yesterday and my daughter stayed with me the whole time I was having it. She was looking through all the colors of the nail polish and spotted the red polish and asked me to put some on her nails. Tada!! Little red nails! She was so happy. I told her we will remove it after two days and to not bite her nails while they're there.

Oh my kikay daughter! :)

Leopard Tops

Yesterday, we went to my friend's house for a simple get together and I thought it would be nice if me and my daughter wear terno tops! I super like the leopard tops which we bought from Liana's Supermarket. Did I mentioned I am a kuripot mommy? Haha. Amber's top only costs P40.00 and mine's P80.00 but I still like it!

Amber's 3rd Birthday

We didn't plan a party for her this year. All we wanted was to make her happy by taking her somewhere she will enjoy. We first thought of bringing her to Manila Zoo so she could see the animals in real life but when my brother told me about Yexel's Toy Museum and checked their FB page, I convinced my husband to go there instead.

To check out the complete photos in the Toy Museum you can click here. My daughter was so happy with the toys but at the same time, but there were instances where she was so scared and even cried because of dark rooms and weird music inside the toy museum. Here are some of the photos I like.

After the Toy Museum, we headed back home to celebrate with family. We sister prepared Bake Mac and all cakes were sponsored by Amber's Ninong and Ninangs. :)

It was a very tiring but fun day because Amber was happy and we also enjoyed the day. Happy Birthday to my one and only daughter!

Bad weather today, flood everywhere

Let's pray for Manila, especially those who live in South area because it's raining since last night and it's flooding everywhere. My husband is in Cabuyao, Laguna right now and he won't be able to go home because of the flood. I've got photos on my Facebook Newsfeed and I really pray that this rain will stop.

This is the situation in SLEX near Southwoods. This is not passable anymore.

Got this from a friend's post in Facebook. This is in Gatchalian Subd. in Paranaque City. This is near our place.

This is a photo taken my friend and this is their home. The flood already entered their house and this is almost up to waist level.

This is also from a friend's Facebook page. This is in Vergonville Subd. and this is also near our place.

I really pray for the rain to stop and the flood to subside. I have a lot of friends who are affected of this flood and I noticed that most areas are in the south area of Manila.

Let's be safe everyone!

Appebon Kid

I was in search for the most effective "pampagana" vitamins for my daughter who is a picky eater. We already tried Mosegor, Propan TLC, Nutroplex and other brands and now, I'm switching her to Appebon Kid. Her pedia said we could try this and see if this will be "hiyang" for her.

This 60ml bottle costs P95.00 in Mercury Drugstore and this is pricey compared to Nutroplex but I really hope this will work wonders to my daughter.  We will start this tomorrow.

Amber's Baby Alive and Lazada.ph Experience

My daughter was making me kulit about wanting to have a Baby Alive. She saw this when she was watching Nick Jr and when I ask her if she wants that doll, she said yes and she said she wanted the one who's licking a pink ice cream.

Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter so much but I would never buy a doll that cost P1,500.00 and for all I know, the legs and arms are busted. So I talked to my SIL in Japan and told her Amber was requesting for a Baby Alive. My SIL is so kind, she said she will send money for Amber to buy the doll!

So when the money came, I ordered the Baby Alive right away at Lazada.ph. At first I was hesitant because this is the first time I am going to order online. It felt weird that they accept Cash On Delivery (COD). So I asked my brother if they already tried ordering here and he said he purchased a bag there and his order came in 3 days! So I decided to go on and order it online and everything went smoothly.

After 3 days, voila! The package came and it was really fast! The 2GO people were so kind to even wait for me because I was not at home when they arrived. So I gave them the payment, they handed me the big box and handed it to my daughter. We opened it together and my daughter was so happy to have this doll. Now my daughter feeds this doll everything she's eating. Hahaha.

To all my readers, you might want to also try ordering at Lazada.ph and experience the speed delivery for yourself! I recommend this online shop and will definitely buy again here.

Avon's Magic Lipstick

I posted a review about my one and only lipstick at my previous blog Motherhood In Progress about my Ever Bilena red lipstick. Since one of my birthday resolutions is to collect at least 5 lipsticks, I bought a very cheap yet very sassy pink Magic Lipstick from Avon.

This was from the Internet because I was not able to take a photo of the lipstick.

This is what it looks like with lipstick on. It's not that dark since I just retouched this one.

I am so happy with the result of this pink lipstick. My daughter said I look pretty. Haha. I love the pink color on my lips. I look fresh and sassy! :P

This lipstick is at 99.00 at Avon catalogs so may want to grab this opportunity to buy one, or maybe the 3 shades they have!

Mommy, Daddy and Daughter

Here are some recent photos we had. Most were photos of me and my daughter since we were the ones who were always together here at home.

Daddy gave her lollipop as pasalubong. She loves lollipop.

This was before sleeping the other night, we were goofing around.

This was last Sunday before taking a bath, Daddy took us a photo.

Daddy wants a photo kissing Amber but she doesn't want. Haha.

Before bedtime. She was showing me her pink socks.
