Cloth Diaper Reviews

Hello Mommies!

In the coming days, I will be posting reviews on different brands of cloth diapers, to help mommies decide on what they will buy for their babies and toddlers. As you all know, I have an online shop My Happy Nappy and most of the moms I encounter are newbie mommies, soon-to-be mommies, or first time on cloth diapering.

Okay, FYI, I am not an expert when it comes to cloth diapering, I consider myself as a newbie too because I just started exclusively cloth diapering my son when he was 2 months old. But with the help of blogs, group about cloth diapers and mommies who are experienced, I was able to learn and get some tips about cloth diapers. I will also be sharing reviews only with the cloth diapers I have with me, mostly those being sold on my online shop.

My first review will be Alva 3.0 in the coming days. If you have any questions or any suggestions, feel free to comment here. If you want me to review a certain brand (wag lang BumGenius, mahal yun! LOL) let me know so I can make a review.

I'll see you in the coming days, hopefully I can make two reviews in one week until I am able to post all cloth diaper brands we are using right now. Thank you Mommies!

My Happy Nappy

Hi everyone! It's been a looonnggg time since I last blogged here. Ang dami nang nangyari. Hehe. But first, I'd like to share with you my online store,  My Happy Nappy on Facebook amd @myhappynappy on Instagram. My online shop started last August 17 and I resell cloth diapers and educational toys for babies and toddlers.

I am a big fan (and hoarder) of cloth diapers now. I know I blogged about generic diapers before and yes, they are the cheaper disposable diapers, but #NasaClothDiapersAngBigSavings and it's true. I decided to buy cloth dispers when I was 7 months pregnant with David. I was browsing Instagram and a photo of cloth diapers were on my feed. So I got curious and read about it, joined Modern Cloth Nappying Pinay on Facebook and later on, CDAph which stands for Cloth Diaper Addicts PH. There are a lot of helpful information there and that brought me to the idea of selling cloth diapers. Sabi nga nila, gawin mo dae yung bagay na nakakatanggal ng stress and true enough. Alam niyo bang nakakatanggal ng stress maglaba at mag stuff ng cloth diaper? I swear! Totoo yan.

In the next posts, I will share with you our journey in cloth diapers and how it helped me and how it became so addicting, you want to buy all cloth diapers. For the meantime, please do visit my shop, there are a lot hrlpful tips posted. Medyo mas organize lang yung Instagram account kesa sa Facebook page. You can also follow me on my personal account, @thegrumpymommy.

It's good to be back and I will flood you with so much information and share with you what I'm doing as a WAHM. Take care everyone!

Generic Diapers (Newborn)

I was so happy when a lot of readers took time to read my blog few years ago about the generic diapers I used for my daughter. Now, I am sharing with you the generic diapers I am using on my newborn.

The one on the left side is called Winny and the one on the right side is Bosomi. These are the two diapers that I use for my newborn now, and so far no rashes on my baby's bum.

They both cost 6.50 pesos each and they can also be purchased by 30's (one pack). They are somehow the same price as large and XL size of other generic diapers.

Like what I meantioned in my previous post about generic diapers, they are cheaper compared to branded ones, you just have to make sure that the baby will not have rashes. Why do I use generic diapers instead of those branded ones? I choose to be practical, plus this stage of my newborn is where he poops and pees every 2-3 hours.

Generic Diapers

Do you love diaper shopping? Me, I super love diaper shopping! But branded diaper nowadays are so pricey and I sometimes feel that it is not "practical" to buy them when your kid is just going to pee or poop on it.

Don't get me wrong, there are branded diapers that I super love. That includes Drypers, Huggies and Sweet Baby. But even when my daughter was newborn, I am already a fan of generic diapers. And for me, brand does not matter. If you have tried Petpet diapers and other good diapers, you'll know what I mean.

So today, I accompanied my sister in law to buy generic diapers along CAA Road. I was so happy and excited because I wanted to buy and try some new generic diapers for my daughter. We came to this small diaper store with lots of diapers and there I saw the generic diaper I bought in BF Paranaque! I was so happy because I finally found a near diaper store! So I bought two different types of generic diaper for my daughter to try.

I am not sure with the name of this diaper but this is cottony and I like the design. This is the regular plastic tape. This costs P6.50 per diaper. Size is XL.

This is called Bosomi diapers. The ones on the photo has magic tapes and cottony as well. They also come in pull ups. This is also XL in size and costs P7.50 per diaper.

I love super colorful and pretty diapers! I have yet to try these two but I will tomorrow. I already tried the Bosomi pull up diapers and I like it. I am not sure though where you can buy this and if this is available to every diaper store in your location. But if you want to try these diapers, I suggest that you buy 2-3 pieces first so check if your babies will not have rashes.

Free Huggies Diaper

Don't we moms love free samples? I really do!

Last week, I saw an ad from Huggies that they are giving away samples of their diaper. You see, this is one of the best brands in the market and my daughter also tried using this when she was younger and I like this one too!

As what email stated, I will be receiving my free diapers in 7 days and it arrived this morning! I so love free stuff! Thank you Huggies!!!

Sweet Baby Diaper

Because I am a fickle-minded mom :) I had been switching diapers for my daughter and I had tried nice diaper brands for her and then I came across this local diaper that is affordable and nice too!

Anyone tried Sweet Baby diapers?

This is the new packaging of the diaper. I like this because the old one doesn't have wetness indicator on it and this one does.

My daughter loves posing for a photo and asked me to take a photo of her and her diaper. :)

This is the new look of the diaper which I really like because it's simple and the color is just right, in my opinion.

One of the things I like with this diaper is it has wetness indicator. The purplish star will start to fade when the diaper is close to becoming full. You'll have a hint when you need to change your baby's nappy.

The pack you see above is worth P76.00 for 10 pcs. in Lianas Supermarket. I just found out from a friend that there is a seller of this exact diaper in Sulit.com  for only P100.00 for 18 pcs. which is a super buy!

So for now, we're sticking with this diaper. :) Happy much! :)

Nappy Time

I have tried a few branded and generic diapers for my daughter since she was born. As a mom, we always want an absorbent I just want to make a review for the diapers that we tried.

Bear 123

This is the first generic diaper that my daughter used when we went home from the hospital. This is a good diaper, in fairness. It is absorbent and I also like the design of the diaper. I got this from my sister-in-law who also uses generic diapers. This only shows that it's not about the brand but the quality of the product, right? Plus it's cheaper than the branded ones. I guess one of the difference between generic and branded diaper is the package and the logo, but other than that, generic diapers are still good.

Fitti Aloe

A lot of my friends said that this can be compared to Huggies because of it's absorbent feature. I like this one too. I learned about Fitti Aloe when my co-worker/friend gave me a sample of this and I liked the diaper because it fits my daughter so good. It also comes in a clear plastic package. I was just having a hard time ordering this diaper so I discontinued using this. This is also cheaper compared to branded diapers.

EQ Dry
This is the diaper that the hospital provided when my daughter was born. This is part of the package on the hospital. I like the color of the diaper, small size is color pink and I like the touch of pink, it looks so girly. :) I must say that it is also absorbent but this is somehow wide for my daughter's size. We are also currently using the blue Eq dry, size is large. I am into changing my daughter's daily diaper and I am trying this one. It is absorbent too but I noticed a foul smell when I change my daughter.

Pampers Comfort
I love Pampers Comfort, until they released the new Pampers Comfort 1 night 1 diaper, the commerical with Regine and Ogie. It does not leak but the diaper is not suited for active babies. This is my own opinion ha! Like one time, when we attended our Sunday church, I noticed that the diaper is bulging on her shorts, and the diaper is full when it was just changed 3 hours after I noticed the diaper. It was also not intact, "nawawala siya sa pwesto". I still like the old Pampers comfort. My daughter uses large size and so I decided to switch to Eq Dry and test it. And also, they don't have free diapers anymore on large sizes.

Huggies Dry
I love buying this because I get 3 diapers for free. This diaper is thin, and I had an experience one time that it leaked when we used it overnight. So we used this during daytime so we can change her from time to time. I am planning to switch back to Huggies Dry after Eq dry.

Huggies Pull Up Pants
I bought this, like 6-7 times when I was experimenting with pull up pants. I heard a lot of good feedback with Huggies Pull Up Pants so I decided to try it out on my daughter. I was not disappointed, I am happy with the result. My daughter loves this because it's hassle free when your kid is active and playful. I recommend this to all moms who have active kids. This is well recommended.

Drypers
I adore this diaper so much! I love this the first time I tried this on my daughter. Though they don't give free diapers when you buy in supermarket, they give free samples when you request. I had 2-3 free sample and I am so happy!!! This is the best diaper for me, and I like their new packaging. How I wish they collaborate with Disney! My daughter loves Disney so much!  This is the only diaper that we used overnight, except when we tried Huggies Dry. This is tried and tested. It fits my daughter perfectly and I just love it when the diaper is full but never leaks! Hindi din nawawala sa pwesto. I give 5 stars to Drypers and I will never switch to any diaper when it comes to night time nappy for my daughter.

With all the diapers that we have tried, my daughter never had rashes, thank God. But I guess different diapers varies from different kids. As what they say, "hiyangan lang talaga". And I just want to remind again that this is my own opinion on the diapers that we tried on my daughter. I also believe that all mom will always look for what's best for their babies, right? Happy Nappy hunting to all soon-to-be mom and those mommies who are looking for better nappies for their kids, just like me!
